With today’s brand-new, top-end flagship phones like the iPhone 13 Pro or Samsung Galaxy S22 Ultra costing over $1,000 and even Google’s Pixel 6 Pro coming in at an eye-watering $899, buying the latest, greatest phones is simply not an option for many of us. It’s tempting, then, to look instead towards older or used phones that you can pick up on the cheap from eBay. And why not? The hardware is usually more than capable of handling what you need it to, and it’s more environmentally friendly to keep using phones for longer, rather than sending them to landfill.
