The Fossil Gen 6 range of smartwatches is here, and while they are new devices on their own right, they present a complicated offering in terms of what they bring to the table. Among other things, the Fossil Gen 6 smartwatch portfolio comes powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon Wear 4100 Plus processor platform, and debuts running on the older generation Wear OS 2 software. The launch comes at a time when Wear OS 3 has already debuted on the new Samsung smartwatches, meaning that in essence, the new smartwatches have been launched on old software.
