The Asus ROG Strix G15 looks slick, but poor performance and a dismal display suck the life out of it

Unlike its siblings, the Asus ROG Strix G15 (G512LI) drops the ball when it comes to delivering at lower price points. For $1,099, you get a punchy keyboard packed into a sleek, punk design, but middling performance, a dismal 15.6-inch display, below-average battery life and hollow speakers prevent this gaming laptop from being anything more than a cheap alternative. While it comes close to some of the best gaming laptops around, the Strix G15’s fine if you need something cheap.
