Nvidia Ampere is the architecture name for the next-generation GeForce graphics cards, which the range expected to surpass the performance power of the RTX 2080 Ti.
September is being touted as a potential launch window for Nvidia’s next-gen graphics cards, with several new graphics cards likely to be released including the Nvidia GeForce RTX 3070, RTX 3080 and RTX 3080 Ti.
The Digitimes reports Nvidia has recently increased its orders for 7nm nodes as the company prepares for the launch of Nvidia Ampere. It was also suggested Nvidia has ordered in 5nm nodes, but since Ampere uses a 7nm process, this is likely for prosumer graphics cards rather than its GeForce range.
