Vivid send-off for Volkswagen Golf R

Volkswagen Golf R Final Edition to send off seventh-generation AWD hot hatch before it’s replaced next year

The Mk7.5 Volkswagen Golf R will make way for an all-new all-wheel drive hot hatch (based on the next-generation Mk8 Golf hatch due here late this year, including the new Golf GTI due to debut at Geneva in March) that will debut at the Goodwood Festival of Speed in July.

To celebrate the end of the existing VW Golf R before it’s replaced here next year, Volkswagen Australia has announced 450 examples of a Final Edition version featuring a number of cosmetic and equipment enhancements and due for delivery from May.
