2020 BMW 530e update revealed

The revised plug-in hybrid model gains a larger capacity battery pack, improving the car’s electric-only range.

The updated BMW 530e plug-in hybrid sedan has been unveiled in Europe.

According to BMW, the 530e benefits from “the latest advances in the field of battery cell technology”, allowing the company to fit a 12kWh battery in same physical space, primarily under the rear seats, as the outgoing car’s 9.2kWh unit.
