When rumors were starting to float around about a new Oculus headset that was going to be unveiled at a private event at GDC 2019, we were skeptical. All the signs were there, as was an invitation to an event held–you guessed it, on the first day of GDC–but the idea of Oculus unveiling a new headset six months after it unveiled the Oculus Quest felt… implausible.
