Details on a coming Samsung tablet have leaked and that tablet is called the Galaxy Tab E 7.0. The new tablet is an entry-level unit that brings a smaller size device to sit under the Galaxy Tab E 8.0 tablet that launched last week in Taiwan. That Galaxy Tab E 8.0 device had 4G LTE support, the leak claims LTE and WiFi versions for the smaller tablet.
As with all leaks, you need some salt along with this until the official announcement is made. The leakster claims that the tablet will run a 1.3GHz processor backed with 1.5GB of RAM. The 7-inch screen has a display with resolution of 1280 x 800.
Internal storage is listed at 8GB and the device has a microSD card slot for expansion if needed. The model number for the WiFi tablet is claimed to be SM-T280NZKA and the LTE version is listed as model SM-T285.
Leaks also indicate that Samsung is working on a Lite version of the tablet with model number SM-T113. A kid’s version is said to be in the works as well. The normal version already has modest specs; it’s unclear what the Lite version will give up. Pricing information is unavailable.
