Pipo W1s comes in a cardboard packaging with the company’s logo on it, and it includes a charger and a keyboard. The packaging has a simple look like any other tablet on the market. That is a standard packaging for tablets and similar devices, but the big feature is that it comes with a keyboard dock. The company clearly listens to the market needs, and supplies the keyboard to the buyer, giving us less hustle to get one. Kudos to the company for that.

Pipo W1S has the looks of an essential business-like design. The removable keyboard makes it look like a regular laptop, and it’s perfect for office work. The manufacturers made it in classic black color which is often used for tablets. Edges are nice and rounded, providing good grip.

On the back side, you can see the rear camera and the Windows 10 sign along with some of the tablets specifications. If you want to use it with the keyboard, you just need to combine the two via designated mechanism; it is very simple to attach or detach the keyboard. Another plus to the company.

The connections for the keyboard are at the bottom of the device.  When separated from the keyboard it looks like an ordinary (but stylish) tablet for everyday usage.

It has many great connection ports that include USB, mini HDMI adapter, mini USB, and a microphone. Pipo W1S also includes a memory card slot that you can use as a storage for your pictures, work files or even movies you like to watch.

A great add-on to the tablet would be a mouse for it since it has a USB port. The new Pipo W1S can then transform into a real laptop, providing you with the full laptop experience.

The attractive and classy design is the first thing that you notice about this tablet, but there is more than just its beautiful looks that this device has to offer.

Pipo W1S has a 10.1-inch capacitive IPS screen that can provide amazing experience watching movies and using the web browser. The screen resolution is 1920×1200 px, which is more than enough when you consider its size. The screen is made in IPS technology, providing lower contrast and more natural colors, opposite to the AMOLED. The viewing angles are good, giving the Pipo W1S a 178°visual angle.

You can relax and enjoy an excellent game on your tablet, without any worries about the picture quality.

Processor & Storage

The impressive thing about Pipo W1S is the strength that is hidden inside. Intel Atom X5-Z8300, a Quad-Core processor clocked at the speed of 1.84GHz makes the new Pipo W1S a reliable performer. With 4 GB of RAM and Intel HD Graphic (Gen8), you can expect a decent gameplay performance from this tablet. If you like to use your tablet as a gaming platform, this model is the perfect choice.Internal storage capacity is 64GB, and you can expand the tablet’s memory with a TF card up to 128GB.

Pipo W1S tablet has a dual camera system installed. Back camera has a 5.0 Megapixel lens, and the front camera has 2.0 Megapixels. That is solid enough; you can use it for selfies or Skype calls. Average tablet camera resolution is even less than this, considering that tablets are not meant to be used to take pictures. Here are some photo examples.

Operating System

Pipo W1S tablet supports both Microsoft Windows 10 and Android operating system. This is the big plus; if you need it for office work you can switch it to Microsoft and write and respond to your emails similarly as you would on your laptop or PC. There is a major flaw regarding the operating systems – no upgrading or changing the systems is supported.

Connectivity options for this device are various. The WI-FI connection is supported, and for faster data transfer to your friends or colleges, you can use Bluetooth 4.0. There is no SIM card slot, which would greatly increase the tablet’s usability, though.

Battery run time is up to 6 hours of video playing or game playing. That is decent time considering the size of the tablets display. The battery has a capacity of 6000mAh, which is pretty high, but you can be sure that the battery life will decrease over time.

Pros and Cons

In the end, we can arrange a list of pros and cons to describe better the overall impression of the new Pipo W1S tablet. Since every device has its good and bad sides, this model is also subjugated to that rule.

  • Elegant and business like design
  • Quality display
  • Reliable camera system
  • Decent performance

  • Battery capacity
  • No SIM card slot

After we fully examined the new Pipo W1S, we can add our personal thoughts. In general, everything about this model is pretty nice, from the design to the overall performance. A standard user will enjoy everything that this model can provide for the money paid.
