OnePlus 2 will come with 4 GB LPDDR4 has been confirmed by the company. OnePlus 2, the success to the OnePlus One, will launch on July 27 via a virtual reality launch, the first one ever. OnePlus wrote on their blog, “the RAM inside the OnePlus 2 is the latest and greatest on the market: LPDDR4… With LPDDR4, you’ll see faster loading times, smoother gameplay, and never-before-seen energy saving features.”
According to OnePlus, “LPDDR4 will give twice the bandwidth performance as the LPDDR3. The RAM of the OnePlus 2 uses a lower operating voltage than its predecessor, decreasing from 1.2V to 1.1V. And with speeds up to 32 GB/s, it is also twice as fast as the LPDDR3.” The company added that the 64-bit Snapdragon 810 processor uses all the 4GB RAM “to its maximum potential.”
The 4GB LPDDR4 RAM is not the only bit of information about the OnePlus 2 that we know about the phone. OnePlus CEO Pete Lau has promised that the smartphone will be priced under $450. The OnePlus One 64GB launched at $350 (around Rs 22,000) so the new phone could be more expensive.

There have also been reports of a full-metal body version of the OnePlus 2 based on CEO Pete Lau’s posts on China’s Weibo.
The OnePlus 2 will come with the Snapdragon 810 chip specifically engineered for the phone and a Type C-USB port. The Type C-USB port supports various new USB standards like USB 3.1, USB power delivery (USB PD), HDMI, DisplayPort, VGA with adapters.
OnePlus says that the Qualcomm has fixed the heating issues on Snapdragon 810 SoC for the OnePlus 2 smartphone.
