If you are a smartphone enthusiast and follow the newer smartphone manufacturers and brands then chances are high that you must have heard about the brand named ‘Nomu‘. For those of you who are still unaware, this brand is famous for manufacturing ‘rough & tough’ smartphones for the millennials.

The Nomu S30 smartphone is packed with all the basic stuff that a smartphone package generally comes with which includes the wall charger, USB cable, a decent pair of earphone, the phone itself along with the basic and boring quick start guide and booklets.

Looks and Initial Impressions:

As soon as you hold the device in your hands, you will realize that this device is for people who needs a very rough and tough smartphone that will keep going no matter how it is being treated. The S30 has a beautiful 5.5″ full HD screen with capacitive touch buttons which is protected with Gorilla Glass 4 so that you don’t have to worry about any scratches on the screen of the device.


On the bottom of the phone sits the stereo speaker, USB charger covered with a strong flap to protect the phone and it’s internals from water and dust. On one side the device features the typical volume rocker buttons and on the other, are the power button and SIM card tray to hold dual SIM cards at a time.

In the rear of the device, you can spot a 13 MP shooter to capture images on the go along with the manufacturers branding on the bottom and few other regulatory information regarding certifications, etc. In case you’re wondering the device has an 8 MP front camera to help you take selfies pics and videos.


As mentioned couple of times earlier, the device is built keeping in mind the tough situations that a smartphone has to generally go through. Hence, proper care has been taken that the phone sustains all kind of weather conditions and situations. It has IP 68 rating which is safe for both, water and dust proofing.

In terms of processor and power of the device, it is features Mediatek 2.0 Octa-core processor coupled with 4 GB of RAM and 64 GB of internal storage. As expected, the phone doesn’t disappoint even when it comes to its power consumption and aspect, thanks to the 5000 mAh battery on board. During our tests and while we asked our friends who has already used the phone, it lasted for two days easily with a single charge. Surprisingly, with considerate usage of the phone and minimal brightness, the phone went on up to 3 days with a single charge. Interesting, isn’t it?

Pricing & Conclusion:

The price of Nomu S30 hovers at around $250 currently and we believe it is not a bad deal at all considering the features and toughness the phone is built with. Having said that, be sure that you really need such a device since it could be bit of a problem to carry a slightly bulkier device.
