HMD Global has just announced the Nokia 7, and it’s the company’s second smartphone to be advertised as a ‘bothie’ phone similar to the Nokia 8. Here are its five features you don’t want to miss.
A more premium design
The Nokia 7 comes with Corning Gorilla glass not only at the front but also on its back part. HMD Global calls this process a ‘3D Glass Thermoforming technology’, bringing smoother touch and feel when using the device. The phone has also undergone rigorous processes and sports good materials such as a 7000 series aluminum alloy for the metal frame with diamond cut edges. That’s all tucked under its 5.2-inch display.
ZEISS imaging technology
A 16-megapixel rear and 5-megapixel front camera are equipped on the Nokia 7, and these both support Zeiss imaging technology for taking better photos. The Zeiss Certified Image Technology enables the front-rear cameras to shoot in a variety of scenarios with excellent dark shooting performance.
‘Bothie’ shooting mode
This is also the second smartphone to sport the ‘Bothie’ technology (dual shooting mode) next to the flagship Nokia 8. With the said mode, users can shoot both front and rear scenarios at the same time with just a simple tap of the shutter button.
Nokia also takes pride in its OZO effort as this phone also sports the company’s proprietary spatial audio technology that enables the user to hear captured sounds on multimedia files just as how it was in real life.
Good specs tucked under a reasonable price point… in China
The Nokia 7 will be available in two different colors (Gloss Black and Matte White) and it sports decent specs for their prices with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 630 chip on board, along with LTE Cat.6, NFC, IP54 splash resistance, and Android 7.1.1 Nougat on board with a scheduled update to the Oreo version. Two variants are available and the more affordable one bearing 4GB of RAM will be available for CNY2,499 or roughly Php19,400 when converted.
