NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1660 Ti Max-Q vs GTX 1070 – the latter wins by a fair margin

Next, in the Turing versus Pascal battle, we have the Max-Q version of a very capable GPU – the GTX 1660 Ti and one of the most powerful Pascal laptop graphics cards – the GeForce GTX 1070.

Specs overview

GeForce GTX 1660 Ti Max-Q is built on а 12nm Turing architecture, while the GTX 1070 uses an older 16nm lithography. This results in a whopping difference in the TDP of both graphics cards – the former consumes 60W, whereas the latter is rated at twice that much – 120W. In terms of CUDA cores, the GTX 1660 Ti Max-Q has 1536 and the GTX 1070 has 2048. Clock speeds are as follows – 1140-1335 MHz for the GTX 1660 Ti Max-Q and 1442-1645 MHz for the GTX 1070.
