Announced back in January during the Consumer Electronic Show 2015 in Las Vegas, Asus Malaysia has finally made available their new Transformer Book Chi T300, T100, and ZenBook UX305 notebooks in the region. The launch was kicked off in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, where local media had a firsthand look at the new Asus Transformer Book Chi T300, T100, as well as Asus ZenBook UX305.

Both Transformer Chi T300 and T100 feature an elegant diamond-cut chamfering design as well as a uniquely-designed magnetic hinge mechanism that ensures fuss-free docking with its Bluetooth keyboard. Likewise, the new ZenBook UX305 ultrabook also has a diamond-cut chamfering, a super slim profile, and a white Ceramic Alloy or Obsidian Stone finish with spun-metal hairline details.

All of the latest Asus devices comes with a razor-thin profile and aluminium design that offer the convenience of a powerful notebook and tablet. Thanks to their fanless design, the Transformer Book Chi series and ZenBook UX305 are fast and silent.

The Transformer Book Chi and ZenBook UX305 are powered by the all-new Intel Core M processor that combines performance and power efficiency. The flagship T300 Chi has a bright and clear 12.5″ IPS display that goes up to WQHD 2560 x 1440 resolution, while the T100 has a 10.1″ display. The super slim ZenBook UX305 comes with a 13.3″ full HD display.

The new Transformer Book Chi is incredibly slim even when docked with its keyboard

The Transformer T300 Chi measures just 1.65 cm when docked with its keyboard. The ZenBook UX305 is just 12.1 mm slim and weighs only 1.2 kg. Solid state storage is used in both T300 and T100 Chi as well as ZenBook UX305, making them faster than standard notebooks with traditional hard disk drives. Furthermore, both notebooks feature USB 3.0 connectivity for super fast data transfer.

Missing in action was the T90 Chi, the 8.9″ tablet model. According to Asus Malaysia, the company made the decision not to bring in the model because their market studies for Malaysia indicated a preference for the models with larger displays, so other countries in the region may see the availability of the T90 Chi. But if there is enough demand from consumers, the company may bring the device to Malaysia.

Also briefly announced at the end of the conference was the ZenBook Pro UX501, though Asus said pricing and details will be announced soon.
