And has the complete trust of Filipinos
Recently, a Reader’s Digest survey proclaimed Acer as the most trusted PC brand in the Philippines for the 9th straight year. Reader’s Trusted Brands Award is given to brands that excel in trustworthiness and credibility, quality, value, understanding of customer needs, innovation and social responsibility.
Bagging the award for the ninth time is quite a feat. Here are a few reasons why Acer is a well-loved brand among Filipinos:
Their laptop prices are competitive
When it comes to pricing, Acer makes an effort to offer bang-for-the-buck laptops to every consumer. Case in point: Their Aspire VX15 laptop, which comes with an impressive set of internals that includes an Intel Core i7-7700HQ processor, with 8GB of RAM, 128GB of SSD and 1TB of HDD storage, and an NVIDIA GTX 1050Ti—all for Php 65k.
They have cool themed laptops for the geeks
Want a laptop that caters to your inner geek? Acer has you covered—at least for Marvel fans—with its Avengers-themed laptops. Right now, you can choose between a Captain America Aspire 6, an Iron Man Swift 3, or a Thanos Nitro 5. All three laptops are dressed in line with their respective characters, making them eye-catching to both geeks and non-geeks.
They are not afraid of pushing the limits of technology
Acer is no stranger in going for the extreme. In fact, Acer’s Predator 21 X remains to be one of the craziest gaming laptops out there: Aside from the half a million Peso price tag, the Predator 21 X has a huge 21-inch curved display—the biggest in a laptop to date. It also has unique features like a full mechanical keyboard, a 6.1 Dolby sound system, and a modular numeric keypad that turns to a trackpad.
Another good example is the Predator Triton 700, as they manage to squeeze in a mechanical keyboard and a GTX1080 GPU inside its skinny 18.9mm chassis.
They have a knack for compelling promo campaigns
Interesting freebies aside, Acer’s promo campaigns are compelling as they tell a story. One good example is their #CarryOn campaign, where they had a short film showcasing how millennials love to travel. The short film was a good segway to Acer’s promo campaign where they gave away Samsonite bags for every purchase of select Acer products.
Another notable campaign is last year’s #TimeForUs, where they collaborated with Basti Artadi and Juan Miguel Severo for a short film bridging the divide between Generation X and millennials.
They have been consistently at the top of consumers minds
Since it has laid foot in the Philippines in 2003, Acer has celebrated several accolades that include being the Philippines number 1 PC vendor for nine straight years and the country’s number 1 laptop vendor for 12 straight years.
It does not stop there: With the 15 years it has been in the Philippines, Acer continues to grow its business to cater to different customers. “This 2018, we have expanded our operations in key cities outside of Luzon to better cater to the growing demands in the country,” Acer Philippines Sales and Marketing Director Sue Ong-Lim said.
“Acer believes in developing technology for everyone. Hardware, software and services should be maximized to open possibilities for consumers, wherever they are in the country.”
